Mega Millions Jackpot Becomes the 8th Largest In History
5th November 2025 5:02 PM
Nobody won the Mega Millions Halloween or subsequent Tuesday jackpot, pushing the current jackpot to become the eighth largest in the game’s history. The next winner could walk away with over three-quarters of a billion dollars before taxes.
With this latest rollover, the Mega Millions jackpot now surpasses the $800 million prize won in Texas in 2024. This marks the 12th consecutive drawing in which the drawing has increased, reflecting a growing participation in the game.
If the jackpot is claimed in the next draw, it would be the first Mega Millions grand prize win in November since 2016. It would also become the largest lottery prize ever won in November, surpassing the current record of $324 million, which was claimed in New York in 2014.
The jackpot has been rolling over since it was last won in Virginia on June 27, 2025.
The Most Recent Draw
The most recent Mega Millions draw took place on Tuesday November 4. The winning numbers were 11, 14, 17, 50, and 57, with a Mega Ball of 6. While over 600,000 ticket holders won at least $5, nobody matched all six numbers. The highest cash prize in this draw was $40,000.
As a result, the jackpot has now ballooned to a staggering $843 million. While the amount after taxes and deductions will be lower, it is still an eye-popping sum.
The largest Mega Millions win to date was claimed by Saltines Holdings, LLC of Florida, who took home a gargantuan $1.602 billion back in August 2023.
