North Jersey Store Sells $1 Million Mega Millions Ticket

Lottery officials have confirmed that a New Jersey Mega Millions player has won $1 million on a ticket they bought at Fairfield News & Food store in Fairfield ahead of Friday night’s drawing.

It was the only Match 5 win at the weekend, and was just one number short of the $86 million top prize. Had the player added the Megaplier option, they would now be $4 million richer. The Megaplier increases the value of any non-jackpot winnings by a value selected at random in advance of the main drawing.

The winning numbers for the Friday September 15th Mega Millions drawing were 18, 24, 34, 38, 58 with Mega Ball 3 and Megaplier 4x. The largest prize won with the Megaplier option was one award of $20,000 for matching four numbers and the Mega Ball. That ticket was also sold in New Jersey, at the Welsh Farms Food Store on Flock Road in Hamilton, Mercer County.

The total number of prize winners in Friday’s drawing was 1,126,825. You can check your Mega Millions numbers and view the payouts and winners in each prize category on the Latest Numbers page.

As there were no grand prize winners in Friday’s drawing, the jackpot for Tuesday night is an estimated $94 million. Players still have time to buy their tickets at authorized retailers in participating states or you can choose your numbers online. Good luck!
