Mega Millions Jackpot Rolls to $382 Million for Friday’s Draw

The Mega Millions jackpot continues its run as the biggest current lottery prize in the world, standing at a huge $382 million. No players matched all five main numbers and the Mega Ball in Tuesday August 8th’s drawing, and Friday’s top prize is now the sixth largest in the game’s history.

The winning Mega Millions numbers for Tuesday August 8th were 11, 17, 50, 52 and 74, with Mega Ball 14 and 2x Megaplier. Check your tickets online by heading on over to the Latest Numbers page. Although there were no jackpot winners on the night, there were four Match 5 winners, each collecting $1,000,000, and the tickets were sold in Florida, Georgia, New York and California.

Excitement is growing amongst lottery fans for this weekend’s draw, as both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are worth more than $300 million. This is the first time both games have passed that milestone at the same time since 2010, when states were allowed to sell tickets for both draws.

If the Mega Millions jackpot is won on Friday, the fortunate ticket holder will have the option to take the cash lump-sum of $238 million or to receive the full jackpot value, which is paid out over 29 years.

Last summer, a single player from Cambridge City, Indiana won $540 million on July 8th after a run of 34 rollovers. It remains the largest jackpot to be won by a single Mega Millions ticket holder, and the biggest cash award for a single player in any lottery around the world. Tickets for the drawing on Friday night are available from authorized retailers or players can pick their numbers online. Good luck!
