Mega Millions Jackpot Hits a Colossal $393 Million

Lottery fans across the US are looking forward to an exciting weekend of gigantic jackpots. The Mega Millions jackpot has jumped to an incredible $393 million, due to strong ticket sales, as reported by lottery officials. The jackpot is now the fifth largest in the game’s history.

If won, the $393 million jackpot will feature alongside other big jackpots including; $414 million won on March 18th, 2014, by two lucky ticket holders and $390 million won on March 6th, 2007, which was shared between Elaine and Harold Messner from New Jersey and Eddie Nabors from Georgia.

Mega Millions isn’t the only drawing that lottery fans can look forward to this weekend. Although, the top prize for tonight’s Mega Millions draw is higher, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to a whopping $356 million. This is the first time that the jackpots for both Powerball and Mega Millions have surpassed $300 million at the same time.

The Mega Millions jackpot has not been won since April 28th, when David Trapp, who bought his ticket in Laguna Hills, California, won the top prize of $61 million. Since his big win, the jackpot has rolled over 29 times. The longest run of rollovers that the game has ever seen was on July 8th, 2016, when the jackpot hit $540 million after 34 draws with no winner.

The numbers for tonight’s Mega Millions drawing will be available on the Latest Numbers section, shortly after the numbers have been drawn. Tickets are available from authorized retailers in participating states or players can choose their numbers online. Good luck!
