California Man Scoops $191 Million Mega Millions Jackpot
The first jackpot winning Mega Millions ticket of 2017 has been claimed by Jack Freney, having purchased a ticket at the Primm Valley Lotto Store in Nipton, California, located on the Nevada state line. The jackpot worth $191 million was won when the lucky player matched all six numbers drawn on the night of the January 27th drawing – 17, 37, 53, 54, 61 and Mega Ball 8.

The jackpot win increases the total number of Mega Millions jackpot winners from the state to 28 and is the sixth largest Mega Millions jackpot won in California.
When asked what he would spend the winnings on, Freney told lottery officials that the prize winnings "will allow me to correct all the wrong that I have incurred in my lifetime."
The Primm Valley Lotto Store, known for selling the largest number of lottery tickets in California, will receive a $955,000 vendor bonus for selling the winning ticket.
