It’s safe to say that this Oregon winner was ecstatic when he heard the news!
A lucky player from Oregon snatched $1 million with just $2
James Robbins, an Air Force veteran residing in Tualatin, Oregon, did not think he would get his money back, and a lot more, when he purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket for just $2.
Robbins purchased a ticket for the Mega Millions draw of February 21, 2020, from a local Fred Meyer. When he went back a few days after the draw to check his ticket, he was told that he actually won more than $600 so he would need to visit the Oregon Lottery payment centre. This was already good news, but when he realised that he matched 5 numbers and won $1 million, he was ecstatic! When asked what he would do with the prize, Robbins said that he would help his daughter out or save it.
The Mega Millions draw of February 21, 2020, did not see any jackpot winners, and Robbins was the sole lucky winner of the $1 million prize.
