The $202 million Mega Millions jackpot has been won in New Jersey

The first Mega Millions jackpot of 2020 was scooped in the draw which took place on Tuesday, February 11.
New Jersey Winner for the Latest Mega Millions draw
One single ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball last night, landing the lucky ticket holder an astonishing $202 million, or a cash option of $142.2 million. The ticket was sold in New Jersey. The last Mega Millions jackpot win was in December 2019, so this is the first jackpot win for 2020.
The winning numbers for the Mega Millions draw of Tuesday, February 11 were:

The total number of winning tickets for last night’s draw, excluding the jackpot winner, was 689,521. One of them snatched the second prize of $1 million, and another 14 players won $10,000 each for matching four numbers and the Mega Ball. Two of the 14 players also opted for the Megaplier, making them winners of $20,000 each.

New Jersey is the home of another three winning Mega Millions tickets.
One of the draws took place on March 1, 2019, and it saw Michael J. Weirsky as the winner of the jackpot. This draw had a jackpot of $267 million, with a cash option of approximately $162.5 million!
Another Mega Millions draw made a New Jersey couple so happy that they retired immediately after they found out that they won $116.5 million. Elaine and Harold Messner were the holders of 1 of the two winning tickets of the March 19, 2017, draw.
Richard Wahl from Vernon, New Jersey, took home an astounding $220.7 million after taxes, thanks to the Mega Millions draw that took place on March 30, 2018. The jackpot was actually $533 million, but the lucky winner chose the cash option.
The next Mega Millions draw will be held on Valentine’s Day, i.e. Friday, February 14, 2020, and the jackpot is estimated at $40 million with a cash option of $28.1 million.
